Graffiti by Emily Moore

This piece of graffiti was found in Peachtree City Ga on the side of a passing train. Now, I do believe that graffiti is art. It can be quite beautiful and expressive ( like the piece below this post by Jamie) but I believe this piece is more like tagging, which in my opinion is a type of graffiti. This piece seems like someone just got bored and decided to paint something. Now, while it does appear to say "smile", which is quite chipper but it overall appears to be the product of frivolity and boredom. So, while I do believe that graffiti is art, I do also believe that some of that art lacks a point or direction.
